According to a recent report, India will become the UAE’s largest exporter by 2030.
- “India will be the largest exporter of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 2030,” international firm Standard Chartered said in its latest report.
- According to a recent report titled “Future of Business: New Opportunities in High-Growth Corridors”, “UAE exports will reach USD 543 billion by 2030” and this growth will increase at a strong annual growth rate of 5.5 percent.
The Ministry of Railways has organized a two-day “Chintan Shivir” program in New Delhi.

Ban on manufacture and sale of 14 Fixed Dose Compounds (FDC) drugs.
- The central government has banned the manufacture, sale and supply of 14 fixed-dose combination (FDC) drugs containing two or more active drugs.
- The expert panel commission found that these drugs have no therapeutic value and may pose a risk to humans. It is noteworthy that these prohibited drugs are mainly used as medicine for cold, cough and respiratory infections.
An MoU has been signed between the Indian Navy and the Indian Maritime University to “Enhance technical cooperation”.

- The United Arab Emirates has won its bid to host the “World Conservation Assembly of the International Union for Conservation of Nature(IUCN)” in 2025.

Karnataka Cabinet has approved 5 schemes.
- The cabinet headed by the current Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has approved the 5 schemes Anna Bhagya, Gruha Jyothi, Gruha Lakshmi, Shakti, and Yuvanidhi mentioned in his election manifesto.
- The Chief Minister said that all these schemes will be provided in this financial year (2023-2024).
A ₹13,000 crore lithium-ion cell factory is planned in Gujarat.
- Tata Group subsidiary ” Agratas Energy Storage Solutions” has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to set up a “lithium-ion cell” manufacturing plant in the state.
- The project will see the company initially invest ₹13,000 crore and the plant, with an initial generation capacity of 20 GWh, will create more than 13,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The city of “Pimpri-Chinchwad” has been announced as the winner of the “Bloomberg” generosity initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI).
- In celebration of World Bicycle Day on June 3, Bloomberg Philanthropists announced the inaugural winners of the Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI).
- The notification states that the city of “Pimpri-Chinchwad” is one of the 10 cities selected from 275 applications in over 60 countries. And the city was recognized for its innovative vision to create safer and “Efficient Cycling” infrastructure, according to Bloomberg.
Two national Highway Projects worth 48 crore inaugurated in Vadodara, Gujarat.
- In Vadodara, Gujarat, Rs. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the Rs 48 crore “Two National Highway Projects” on June 2.
- Gadkari said the projects will ensure a new safe traffic situation under construction with a “3-lane road and improved access from industrial areas to facilitate smooth movement”.

- Tazeem Fayaz, a young judo from Srinagar, won a silver medal in the All India Inter-University “Judo Championship 2023”.

Malaysia’s economy to grow by 4.5% in 2023 – IMF report.
- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced in its latest report that the “Malaysian economy will grow by 4.5% in 2023”.
- “Following the re-opening of the Malaysian economy in April 2022, it is notable that its growth reached 8.7% in 2022, driven by domestic demand and the performance of a strong export structure. “Inflation in Malaysia will rise to 3.3% in 2023,” the report said.
