October 8 – World Octopus Day
World Octopus Day is an annual observance celebrated on October 8th of every year. It’s a day for those Octopus enthusiasts. It is vital to celebrate the most distinctive animals of the planet with a day. October 8, 2007, marks the first commemoration of World Octopus Day.
National e-Assessment Centre
Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey inaugurated National E-Assessment Centre and Regional E-Assessment Centers.
The National E-Assessment Center is situated in Delhi while Regional E-Assessment Centers are in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad.
India’s development partnership programme ITEC completes 55 years
Development Partnership Administration Division of the External Affairs Ministry is organizing a conference in New Delhi to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of India’s flagship capacity building programme – Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation.
ITEC Programme was launched on 15 September 1964 by the Ministry.
Festival of Fulpati being celebrated in Nepal
In Nepal, the festival of Fulpati is being celebrated with gaiety and religious fervour today. Fulpati is observed on the seventh day of Dashain festival. In Nepali, “Ful” means flower and “Pati” means leaves and plants.
India and Bangladesh signs MoU
India and Bangladesh have signed an MoU that will enable Delhi to set up a coastal surveillance system radar in Bangladesh. The two countries signed seven agreements in New Delhi after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina.
