ஆசியான் எனப்படும் தென்கிழக்கு ஆசிய நாடுகளின் கூட்டமைப்பின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் மாநாடு

• ஆசியான் எனப்படும், தென்கிழக்கு ஆசிய நாடுகளின் கூட்டமைப்பின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் மாநாடு, புதுடில்லியில் நேற்று துவங்கி இரண்டு நாட்களுக்கு நடக்கிறது.இதில் இந்தோனேஷியா, தாய்லாந்து, வியட்நாம், லாவோஸ், புரூனே, பிலிப்பைன்ஸ், சிங்கப்பூர், கம்போடியா, மலேஷியா, மியான்மர் நாடுகளின் வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர்.
• இதற்கிடையே, ஆசியான் கூட்டமைப்பு நாடுகளை சேர்ந்த வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர்கள் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடியை சந்தித்துப் பேசினர். அப்போது, வெளியுறவுத்துறை அமைச்சர் ஜெய்சங்கர், தேசிய பாதுகாப்பு ஆலோசகர் அஜித் தோவல் உள்ளிட்டோர் உடன் இருந்தனர்.

இந்தியாவில் தொற்று ஆய்வுக்கு அமெரிக்கா ரூ.915 கோடி உதவி

• அமெரிக்க நோய் கட்டுப்பாடு மற்றும் தடுப்பு மையம் உலக நாடுகளில் தொற்று நோய் தடுப்பு கட்டுப்பாடு உள்ளிட்ட ஆய்வுகளுக்கு நிதியுதவி செய்கிறது.இந்த மையம், இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த மூன்று நிறுவனங்களுக்கு, தொற்று நோய் தடுப்பு உள்ளிட்ட ஆய்வுகளுக்காக, 915 கோடி ரூபாய் நிதியுதவி வழங்குவதாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.
• இதன்படி, டில்லியில் உள்ள இந்திய மருத்துவ கவுன்சில் புனேவின் தேசிய வைரஸ் ஆய்வு மையம் சென்னையில் உள்ள தேசிய தொற்று நோயியல் மையம் ஆகிய முன்றும், அமெரிக்க நிதியுதவியை பெற உள்ளன.கொரோனா வைரஸ் பல்வேறு வகையில் உருமாறி, அதிக வீரியமுள்ளவைரசாக மாறி பரவி வருகிறது. இத்தகைய வைரஸ்களை எதிர்கொள்ள, தடுக்க தேவைப்படும் ஆய்வுகளுக்கு, இந்த நிதி பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.

• 2021-22-ம் ஆண்டில், வறட்சியால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இரண்டு மாநிலங்களுக்கு, தேசிய பேரிடர் நிவாரண நிதியிலிருந்து கூடுதலாக நிதியுதவி அளிக்க மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சர் அமித் ஷா தலைமையிலான உயர்மட்டக் குழு ஒப்புதல் வழங்கியுள்ளது.இரண்டு மாநிலங்களுக்கு, தேசிய பேரிடர் நிவாரண நிதியிலிருந்து கூடுதலாக ரூ.1,043.32 கோடி, ராஜஸ்தான் – ரூ.1,003.95 கோடி, நாகலாந்து – ரூ.39.28 கோடி
• இந்த கூடுதல் நிதியுதவியானது, ஏற்கனவே மாநில அரசுகளிடம் உள்ள மாநில பேரிடர் நிவாரண நிதிக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட நிதியை விட அதிகமாக உள்ளது.

• Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of the ASEAN countries met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Foreign Minister Jaishankar was accompanied by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.

US provides Rs 915 crore for epidemic study in India

• The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sponsors studies around the world, including infectious disease control. The Center has announced financial assistance of Rs 915 crore to three Indian companies for research, including epidemic prevention.
• Accordingly, the Medical Council of India in Delhi and the National Center for Viral Research in Pune and the National Center for Infectious Diseases in Chennai are also seeking US funding.
• The corona virus mutates into a highly virulent virus and spreads. These funds will be used for research needed to combat and
  prevent such viruses.

A high-level panel headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved an additional Rs 1,043-32 crore in financial assistance to the two states

• A high-level committee headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved additional funding from the National Disaster Relief Fund for the two drought-hit states in 2021-22.
• For the two states, an additional Rs 1,043-32 crore from the National Disaster Relief Fund, Rajasthan – Rs 1,003-95 crore and Nagaland – Rs 39.28 crore.
• This additional funding is higher than the funds already allocated to state disaster relief funds by state governments. For the financial year 2021-22, the National Disaster Relief Fund has provided Rs 17,747.20 crore to 28 states and Rs 7,342.30 crore to 11 states.
