இந்தியா –நேபாளம் எல்லை மேலாண்மை குறித்த 12-வது கூட்டு நடவடிக்கைக் குழுக் கூட்டம்

• இந்தியா- நேபாள எல்லைப்புற மேலாண்மை பாதுகாப்பு விவகாரங்கள் குறித்த 12-வது கூட்டு நடவடிக்கைக்குழு கூட்டம் புதுதில்லியில் நடைபெற்றது.
• இந்திய தரப்புக்கு மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சகத்தின் இணை செயலாளர் (எல்லைப்புற மேலாண்மை) மற்றும் நேபாள தரப்பில் அந்நாட்டு உள்துறை அமைச்சக இணை செயலாளர் ஆகியோர் தலைமை வகித்தனர்.
• இரண்டு நாட்கள் நடைபெற்ற இந்த கூட்டத்தில், நேபாளத்தின் பொக்காராவில் கடந்த 2015ம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற கூட்டு நடவடிக்கைக்குழுக் கூட்டத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட முடிவுகள் மறு ஆய்வு செய்யப்பட்டது.
• அத்துடன் எல்லைப் பகுதியில் நடைபெறும் குற்ற நடவடிக்கைகள், எல்லைப்புற கட்டமைப்பை வலுப்படுத்துதல், அதிகாரமளித்தல் மற்றும் பல்வேறு பாதுகாப்பு அமைப்புகளின் திறன் மேம்பாடு, தீவிரவாத நடவடிக்கைகள் தடுப்பு உள்ளிட்ட அம்சங்கள் குறித்து இந்த கூட்டத்தில் விவாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
• இதையடுத்து, கூட்டு நடவடிக்கைக்குழுவின் அடுத்த கூட்டத்தை நேபாளத்தில் நடத்த முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

ஐநா.வுக்கான நிரந்தர தூதராக ருச்சிரா காம்போஜ் நியமனம்

• ஐநா.வுக்கான இந்திய தாதராக பணியாற்றி சையத் அக்பருதீன் ஓய்வு பெற்ற பிறகு, ஐநா.வுக்கான இந்தியாவின் நிரந்தர தூதராக டிஎஸ்.திருமூர்த்தி கடந்த 2020 ஏப்ரலில் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
• இவர் தற்போது ஓய்வு பெறுவதால், 1987ம் ஆண்டில் ஐஎப்எஸ் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற ருச்சிரா காம்போஜ் ஐநா.வுக்கான நிரந்தர தூதராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டு உள்ளார்.
• இவர் தற்போது பூடான் நாட்டில் இந்திய தூதராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். ஐநா.வுக்கான நிரந்தர தூதர் பணியை ருச்சிரா காம்போஜ் விரைவில் தொடங்குவார் என்று ஒன்றிய வெளியுறவு அமைச்சகம் நேற்று வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

12th Joint Working Group Meeting on India-Nepal Border Management

• The 12th Joint Working Group Meeting on Indo-Nepal Border Management and Security Issues was held in New Delhi.
• The Indian side was led by the Joint Secretary (Border Management) of the Union Home Ministry and the Nepalese side was led by the Joint Secretary of the Home Ministry.
• The two-day meeting reviewed the results of the 2015 Joint Action Committee meeting held in Pokhara, Nepal.
• The meeting also discussed aspects of crime at the border, strengthening the border structure, empowerment and capacity building of various security agencies, and prevention of terrorist activities. Following this, it was decided to hold the next meeting of the Joint Action Committee in Nepal.

Ruchira Kamboz appointed Permanent Ambassador to UN

• DS Thirumurthy was appointed as India’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations in April 2020, following the retirement of Syed Akbaruddin as India’s Ambassador to the United Nations.
• Since retiring, Ruchira Campos, who passed the IPS exam in 1987, has been appointed Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations.
• He is currently serving as India’s Ambassador to Bhutan. Ruchira Kamboj will soon begin her work as the Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations, according to a statement issued by the Union Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday.

Assam has emerged as the 36th state to implement a single nation single family card scheme

• Assam has emerged as the 36th state in the country to implement a single nation, single family card scheme. This has enabled the scheme to be successfully implemented in all the States / Union Territories in the country and facilitated the transformation of food security across the country.
• The One Nation, One Family Card has played a key role in ensuring that affordable food grains are made available to beneficiaries, especially migrant workers, under the National Food Security Act during the last 2 years after the outbreak of Covid -19.
• The scheme, one of the public welfare schemes being implemented in the country, has been implemented in a short span of time since its inception in August 2019 to benefit over 80 crore beneficiaries.
