22-வது காமன்வெல்த் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டி – 5ம் நாள் முடிவுகள்

22-வது காமன்வெல்த் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டி பிரிட்டனின் பர்மிங்ஹாம் நகரில் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. 4-ம் நாளின் முடிவில் இந்தியா 3 தங்கம், 3 வெள்ளி, 3 வெண்கலம் என 9 பதக்கங்களைக் கைப்பற்றியிருந்தது.
இறுதிப் போட்டியில் இந்திய மகளிர் அணி 17-10 என்ற கணக்கில் தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவை வீழ்த்தினர். இந்திய அணியில் லவ்லி சவ்பே, பிங்கி, நயன்மோனி சைக்கியா, ரூபா ராணி டிர்கே ஆகியோர் இடம்பெற்றிருந்தனர்.
டேபிள் டென்னிஸ் ஆடவர் அணிப் பிரிவு இறுதிச் சுற்றில் இந்திய அணி 3-1 என்ற கணக்கில் சிங்கப்பூரை வென்று தங்கப் பதக்கத்தை வசப்படுத்தியது.
ஆடவர் 96 கிலோ பளுதூக்குதல் பிரிவில் இந்திய வீரர் விகாஸ் தாக்குர் மொத்தம் 346 கிலோ தூக்கி வெள்ளி பதக்கத்தை வென்றார். கலப்பு பேட்மிண்டன் பிரிவில் இந்தியாவுக்கு வெள்ளிப் பதக்கம் கிடைத்தது.
இதையடுத்து இந்தப் போட்டியில் இந்தியா இதுவரை 5 தங்கம், 5 வெள்ளி, 3 வெண்கலம் என மொத்தம் 13 பதக்கங்களை பெற்றுள்ளது.

கோத்தகிரி ‘லாங்வுட்‘ சோலைக்கு கிடைத்தது சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம்

நீலகிரி மாவட்டம், கோத்தகிரி நகர மையப்பகுதியில், 250 ஏக்கர் பரப்பில் லாங்வுட் சோலை அமைந்துள்ளது. இச்சோலை, 50 ஆயிரத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட மக்களின் தண்ணீர் தேவையை பூர்த்தி செய்கிறது.
தவிர, 35 மரவகைகள், 12 கொடிகள், ஆறு ஆர்க்கிட்டுகள், 105 பறவையினங்கள், 30 விலங்கினகள் மற்றும் பல அரிய தாவரங்கள்; பூஞ்சைகளின் புகலிடமாக உள்ளது. இதற்கு சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம் கிடைத்துள்ளது.
நம் மாநிலத்தின் சிறந்த வனமாக உள்ள லாங்வுட் சோலைக்கு, ‘குயின்ஸ் கெனோபி’ எனப்படும் இங்கிலாந்து நாட்டின், ‘உலகளாவிய பசுமை நிழற்குடை’ என்ற சர்வதேச அங்கீகாரம் கிடைத்துள்ளது.

மாலத்தீவு அதிபர் இப்ராகிம் முகமது சோலி 4 நாள் அரசு முறை பயணமாக டெல்லி வந்தார். பிரதமர் மோடியை சந்தித்த அவர் இருதரப்பு உறவுகள் குறித்து பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினார்.
அப்போது இரு நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே மாலத்தீவில் திறன் மேம்பாடு, சைபர் பாதுகாப்பு, வீட்டு வசதி, பேரிடர் மேலாண்மை மற்றும் உள்கட்டமைப்பு மேம்பாடு என 6 ஒப்பந்தங்கள் கையெழுத்தாகின. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து பிரதமர் மோடி, மாலத்தீவு அதிபர் சோலி கூட்டாக செய்தியாளர்களுக்கு பேட்டி அளித்தனர்.
அப்போது பேசிய பிரதமர் மோடி, “இந்திய நிதி உதவியின் கீழ் மாலத்தீவு தலைநகர் மாலியில் ஏற்கனவே 4 ஆயிரம் குடியிருப்புகள் கட்டப்பட்டு வரும் நிலையில், மேலும் 2 ஆயிரம் குடியிருப்புகளை கட்ட முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
அதோடு, மாலத்தீவின் வளர்ச்சித் திட்டப் பணிகளுக்காக இந்தியா ரூ.790 கோடி கடன் உதவி வழங்க முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் நிலுவையில் உள்ள பணிகள் விரைவில் முடிவடையும். மாலத்தீவிற்கு எந்த பிரச்னை ஏற்பட்டாலும், உதவி தேவைப்பட்டாலும், முதல் ஆதரவுக்கரம் நீட்டும் நாடாக இந்தியா எப்போதும் இருக்கும்,” என்றார்.

22nd Commonwealth Games – Day 5 Results

The 22nd Commonwealth Games are being held in Birmingham, UK. At the end of the 4th day, India had won 9 medals namely 3 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze. Following this, on the 5th day, the Indian women’s team won gold in the lawn bowls competition and created a historic record. This is the first time that an Indian team has won gold in lawn bowls competition.
Indian women’s team beat South Africa 17-10 in the final. The Indian team consisted of Lovely Sawbe, Pinky, Nayanmoni Saikia and Rupa Rani Dirke. India beat Singapore 3-1 to clinch the gold medal in the table tennis men’s team final.
India’s Vikas Thakur lifted a total of 346 kg and won the silver medal in the men’s 96 kg weightlifting category. India got silver
medal in mixed badminton category. So far India has won 13 medals including 5 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze in this competition.

India – Maldives 6 new deals – Rs 790 crore loan for construction of house

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih arrived in Delhi on a 4-day official visit. He met Prime Minister Modi and discussed bilateral relations.
6 agreements were signed between the two countries on capacity building, cyber security, housing, disaster management and infrastructure development in Maldives. Following this, Prime Minister Modi and Maldives President Chloe jointly gave an interview to the media.
Speaking at that time, Prime Minister Modi said, “While 4,000 residences are already being built in Maldivian capital Mali under Indian financial assistance, it has been decided to build 2,000 more residences.
In addition, India has decided to provide a loan of Rs 790 crore for development projects in Maldives. By this the pending works will be completed soon. “India will always be the first country to lend a helping hand to Maldives in any problem or need,” he said.
