இலங்கையின் இடைக்கால அதிபராக இருந்த ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்க முறைப்படி அதிபராக தேர்வு

புதிய அதிபரை தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதற்கான தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது. இத்தேர்தலில், தற்போதைய இடைக்கால அதிபர் ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்கே, மார்க்சிஸ்ட் ஜனதா விமுக்தி பெரமுன கட்சியின் தலைவர் அனுராகுமார திசநாயக, ஆளும் இலங்கை பொதுஜன பெரமுன கட்சியில் இருந்து பிரிந்த டலஸ் அழகப்பெருமாள் ஆகியோர் போட்டியிட்டதால் மும்முனைப் போட்டி நிலவியது.
இந்நிலையில் இன்று நடைபெற்ற அதிபர் தேர்தலில் முதல் முறையாக அந்நாட்டு சபாநாயகரும் வாக்களித்தார். இதனையடுத்து வாக்குகள் எண்ணப்பட்டு முடிவுகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டன. பெரும்பான்மை எம்பிக்களின் ஆதரவைப் பெற்று ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்க அதிபராக வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளதாக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இலங்கை நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் நடைபெற்ற அதிபர் தேர்தலில் 134 வாக்குகள் பெற்று ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்க அதிபரானார். இவர் 2024-ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் வரை அதிபர் பதவியில் இருப்பார்.
டலஸ் அழகப்பெருமாவுக்கு 82 வாக்குகள் மட்டுமே கிடைத்தன. அனுரா திசநாயக 3 வாக்குகள் மட்டுமே பெற்றார். 223 எம்பிக்கள் அளித்த வாக்குகளில் 4 வாக்குகள் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டன.
இடைக்கால அதிபராக இருந்த ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்க முறைப்படி அதிபராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். இலங்கையில் 6 முறை பிரதமராக இருந்த ரணில் விக்ரமசிங்க 8-வது அதிபராக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

அமெரிக்க பல்கலையுடன் சி.எம்.டி.ஏ., ஒப்பந்தம்

சென்னை பெருநகரில் நகர்ப்புற திட்டமிடலை மேம்படுத்த, அமெரிக்காவின் ‘கார்னெல்’ பல்கலையுடன் சி.எம்.டி.ஏ., ஒப்பந்தம் மேற்கொள்ள உள்ளது.சென்னை பெருநகர் பகுதியில் நகர்ப்புற வளர்ச்சியை நெறிப்படுத்த சி.எம்.டி.ஏ., ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
இதே போன்று, போக்குவரத்து மேம்பாட்டு கொள்கை வகுக்கும் நிறுவனமான ஐ.டி.டி.பி.,யுடனும் ஒப்பந்தம் மேற்கொள்ள சி.எம்.டி.ஏ., முடிவு செய்துள்ளது. சமீபத்தில் நடந்த குழும கூட்டத்தில் இந்த முடிவுகளுக்கு ஒப்புதல் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Ranil Wickramasinghe, who was the interim president of Sri Lanka, was duly elected as the president

An election was held to elect a new president. In this election, the incumbent Interim President Ranil Wickramasinghe, Marxist Janata Vimukti Peramuna Party leader Anurakumar Dissanayake and Dalus Alagaperumal, who broke away from the ruling Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Party, were contesting a three-way contest.
In this case, the speaker of the country also voted for the first time in the presidential election held today. After this, the votes were counted and the results announced. It has been officially announced that Ranil Wickramasinghe has won the presidency with the support of the majority of MPs.
Ranil Wickramasinghe became the President by getting 134 votes in the presidential election held in the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He will hold the post of President till November 2024. The Dallas beauty got only 82 votes. Anura Dissanayake got only 3 votes. Out of 223 votes cast by MPs, 4 votes were rejected.
Ranil Wickramasinghe, who was the interim chancellor, has been duly elected as the chancellor. Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was
the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka for 6 times, has been selected as the 8th President.

Agreement with CMDA, American University

CMDA has entered into an agreement with Cornell University of America to improve urban planning in Chennai Metropolis. Similarly, the CMDA has decided to enter into an agreement with ITDP, a policy making agency for transport development. These
decisions have been approved in a recent group meeting.

Senthil Velan appointed as new IG, Asiyammal transferred

Senthil Velan has been appointed as the new IG of Tamil Nadu Intelligence Department. Asiyammal, who was the IG of the Intelligence Department, has been transferred and appointed as the IG of the Enforcement Division.
Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Panindhara Reddy has appointed Senthil Velan, who was on the waiting list, as the new IG of the Intelligence Department.
Deshmukh Shekhar Sanjay appointed as Tiruvallikeni Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Maheswaran appointed as State Human Rights Commission SP.
